1)How do I know what spring rates I have?
All Skunk2 suspension springs are labeled for easy identification. For example, ’88-’91 Civic Pro-C Coilover springs can be identified by their label: 0700.025.010S. The third set of numbers— “010”—identifies the spring rate, which in this particular case is 10 kg/mm. Note: 1 kg/mm = 55.88 lb/in.
2)What do the numbers printed on the side of my springs represent?
The numbers printed on the side of your Skunk2 springs represent three things: spring length, spring diameter, and spring rate. For example, ’88-’91 Civic Pro-C Coilover springs can be identified by their label: 0700.025.010S. The first set of numbers— “0700”—identifies the spring length, which in this case is 7 in. The second set of numbers— “025”—identifies the spring diameter, which in this case is 2.5 in. The third set of numbers— “010”—identifies the spring rate, which in this case is 10 kg/mm.
3)Can Skunk2 Replacement Race Springs be used as lowering springs?
No, Replacement Race Springs are designed to be used only with full-bodied coilovers, like Pro-S II and Pro-C Coilovers.
