Product Description

Skunk2's engineers went back to the drawing board when they set out to improve the already popular '06-'11 Civic Si’s RBC intake manifold. Each of Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s K-series engines feature larger plenums and shorter, oversized runners when compared to the RBC, and are cast with thicker wall material, leaving room for further porting for high-horsepower applications. Instead of producing a manifold with a significantly oversized plenum and excessively short runners that would sacrifice mid-range power, Pro Series manifolds were designed for the “street enthusiast” who wants more power but doesn’t want to sacrifice mid-range performance to get it. The results are improved airflow, an enhanced venturi effect, and both mid-range and top-end power ... [Read more ↓] gains.

Skunk2’s all-new, cast-aluminum Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s K-series engines are a direct-fit replacement for all '06-'11 Civic Si engines thanks to their unique design and throttle body flanges, which are compatible with OEM throttle bodies as well as those as large as 76mm. A thermal-insulated intake manifold gasket is also included, making for a truly bolt-on installation (no drilling or modifying required). Pro Series manifolds also incorporate an angled-runner design, which allows for ample hood clearance on almost any engine combination.

Pro Series Intake Manifolds offer horsepower and torque gains greater than the popular RBC manifold but without compromising mid-range power output. The design incorporates runners that are similar in length to the RBC’s but with larger bores, a special tapered design, as well as a larger, tapered plenum that together preserve mid-range power but increase and accelerate airflow to allow for significant top-end power gains. Pro Series Intake Manifold runner exits are also machined and hand-finished to best match the cylinder head’s ports. Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifold’s shape and design also increases wave scavenging effects at the engine’s ideal operating range, which allow for a broad increase in usable power.

Skunk2 is a familiar name in the intake manifold business, with more than 10 years of experience designing, testing, and building them. Similar to OEM manifolds, Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds are shell-molded from 356-aluminum, CNC-machined for superior strength, a precise fit, and a high-quality finish, and vacuum-tested for quality. Each manifold is molded with smooth transitions from the throttle body opening to the plenum to the runners with clean parting lines for an optimal finish, both inside and out and features a genuine Skunk2 nameplate. Resources - Skunk2 How-To: Throttle Body Port-Matching
You know that a larger bore throttle body will help improve air flow. But when the intake manifold's opening isn't as large as the new throttle body's bore (it almost never is), performance gains will be small. Unlock your engine's full potential when swapping to a larger bore throttle body. Learn how to properly port-match your intake manifold and remove the restrictive step that's created when the throttle body and intake manifold openings don't match up. ... [Read more →]
Resources - K-Series Intake Manifold Dyno Data
Honda’s RBC intake manifold is popular for a reason. It’s a relatively simple and inexpensive bolt-on that yields impressive power gains. It's well optimized for relatively stock K-series engines, which means improving upon it isn’t easy. So when Skunk2 released its Pro Series Intake Manifold for K-series engines, the speculation as to whether or not it would outperform Honda’s RBC wasn’t surprising. Skunk2's goal was to design a manifold that would perform well on highly modified engines as well as stock ones. Although the RBC manifold performs well on relatively mild engines, once compression ratios, displacement, and cam timing are increased, its performance is extremely limited. Fortunately, the dyno doesn’t lie, and Skunk2 is happy to present the definitive results of nearly a year’s worth of testing. ... [Read more →]
Resources - '06-'11 Civic Si Black Series Pro Series Intake Manifold Review
Skunk2 is proud to introduce its Pro Series Intake Manifold for Honda’s '06-'11 Civic Si in its signature Black Series finish. Similar to Skunk2's already popular K-series Intake Manifolds, Skunk2's engineers looked to the popular '06-'11 Civic Si’s RBC intake manifold for inspiration and went back to the drawing board. Each of Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s K-series engines feature larger plenums and shorter, oversized runners when compared to the RBC, and are cast with thicker wall material, leaving room for further porting for high-horsepower applications. ... 1)Will this Pro Series Intake Manifold work well on a forced induction setup?
Yes, Pro Series Intake Manifolds were designed to significantly increase air flow, which is beneficial to naturally aspirated applications as well as forced induction ones.
2)Is tuning required after installing this Pro Series Intake Manifold?
Typically, Pro Series Intake Manifolds produce 6-8whp gains without tuning. Additional power may be extracted with dyno tuning, however, it is not required.
3)Which K-series Pro Series Intake Manifold do I need?
Skunk2 offers two K-series Pro Series Intake Manifold configurations—one that’s compatible with the ’06-’11 Civic Si and ’04-’08 TSX, and another that’s compatible with almost all other K-series engines. The main differences between the two are throttle body flange bolt patterns and coolant neck configuration. Typically, K-series engines featuring cable-driven throttle bodies are most compatible with the non-Civic Si version.

  1. “ Photo Hog!! ” review by Jimmy Gomez on 4/5/12
I have this intake manifold plus Black series SK2 Throttle Body, and they are photo hogs!! Whenever there's a meet/show people flock to see and photograph this setup.. It's not a neck turner, it's a neck breaker! Besides the looks it all so gives my 2006 Si more throttle response and pull in the mid range... Great job SK2!!!
